Who We Are

Dosor is a non-profit socio-cultural community established in 2024 in Heidelberg, one of Germany's most beloved historical cities. We are dedicated to promoting Indo-Bengali culture and values while fostering integration with the local German community.

Our name reflects our mission — Dosor means companion, a steady presence who keeps you glowing. We build bridges between cultures, nurture roots, and create a home away from home for Indo-Bengali families across the Rhein-Neckar region.

Our Mission And Vision

🎯

Our Mission

At Dosor, we are dedicated to weaving the vibrant traditions of Indo-Bengali culture into the rich cultural tapestry of Germany. Our mission is to bridge these two cultures between India and Germany, creating a unique space where both communities can explore and appreciate the beauty of our shared human heritage.

We aim to preserve and promote the Indo-Bengali cultural heritage through organizing various cultural events and Indo-Bengali festivals throughout the year — from Durga Puja to Saraswati Puja, Poila Baishakh, and beyond.

Our Vision

We envision a Germany where Indo-Bengali culture is celebrated, understood, and woven into the broader multicultural fabric of society. We strive to create a space where cultural stories are told, connections are made, and diversity is celebrated.

Your collaboration and generosity empower us to bring the vibrant traditions, art, and heritage of Bengal to a wider audience, fostering cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. Together, we are creating a community where everyone feels at home.

Events & Programs

From Durga Puja to cultural festivals and community dinners — there's always something happening at Dosor.
